From Our Family to Yours, The St. Clair Coney

Celebrating Foood, Family & Community since Dy One.

A Fresh Start for a Local Favorite

A Fresh Start for a Local Favorite

In 1969, St. Clair Coney Island opened its doors, serving classic comfort food to the community. Over the years, it became a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike. Families gathered here for breakfast, lunch, and good conversation. Generations grew up with our famous coney dogs, crispy fries, and homestyle meals. The heart of this diner has always been the people—our customers, our team, and the families that have kept the tradition alive.

A New Chapter Begins

A New Chapter Begins
On June 1, 2023, our family—Andy and Lisa Bennett, along with Andrew and Lindsey Bennett—became the new owners of St. Clair Coney Island. We were excited to continue its legacy. But just a few months later, in September, a powerful storm damaged the roof of the Riverview Plaza, leaving our restaurant in bad shape. We had no choice but to close and start rebuilding.

Rebuilding with a Purpose

Rebuilding with a Purpose
We saw the storm as a chance to do more than just repair the damage. We wanted to give St. Clair Coney Island a fresh start. So, we remodeled the entire space, updating everything while keeping the same welcoming feel. After months of hard work, we reopened on November 28, 2023, ready to serve the community once again.
